The Reading Observer reports that the Massachusetts Coalition of Police, known as MassCOP, has endorsed David Solet for Middlesex District Attorney. The statewide law-enforcement union cited David’s 24 years of prosecutorial experience, his record of working alongside police officers, and his commitment to strengthening public safety.

MassCOP President Scott Hovsepian praised David’s reputation for approaching cases with integrity and principle, supporting law-enforcement professionals, pursuing justice with compassion for victims, and holding dangerous offenders accountable.

David’s public-safety plan includes a dedicated Crime Gun Unit to disrupt illegal firearms networks, stronger protections for seniors targeted by financial exploitation and cybercrime, improved tools for prosecuting drugged driving, and reforms that help prosecutors seek detention hearings in the most serious violent cases.

David called the endorsement a tremendous honor and reaffirmed his commitment to lead a proactive, principled District Attorney’s Office focused on protecting the people of Middlesex County.
