Wilmington Apple: MCOFU Endorses David Solet for Middlesex DA
Wilmington Apple reports that MCOFU is backing David’s proven experience, support for correction officers, and public-safety leadership.

Wilmington Apple reports that the Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union has endorsed David Solet for Middlesex District Attorney. MCOFU represents nearly 3,000 employees of the state Department of Correction, and its support reflects confidence in David’s long record of working alongside public-safety professionals.
The announcement points to David’s 24 years of prosecutorial experience and his commitment to confronting the dangers correction officers face—from assaults on staff to the smuggling of weapons and narcotics inside facilities. David’s plan also addresses the threats that affect every Middlesex community: illegal gun trafficking, cybercrime, financial exploitation of seniors, and drugged driving.
MCOFU President Kevin Flanagan said David understands “the dangerous realities our officers face.” He added that David has the resolve to hold offenders accountable both inside and outside correctional facilities.
David called the endorsement a tremendous honor, noting that correction officers know his work and his commitment to protecting communities from dangerous offenders. Their backing reinforces the campaign’s central promise: experienced leadership that takes public safety seriously and stands with the people doing the hard work every day.
